Tuesday Tune-up is a business development series for artists and makers proudly co-sponsored by Art Works Eagan and Eagan Art Festival.
Our first Tuesday Tune-ups will feature Becka Rahn, a digital fabric designer and teaching artist. Becka is the co-author of The Spoonflower Handbook, a how-to guide to designing your own fabric. She has received individual artist grants from the Jerome Foundation and MN State Arts Board, as well as serving on the international Etsy Sellers Advisory Board. You can see more about her work at her website. Becka lives in Minneapolis with her husband and two big black labs. She spends a lot of time thinking about pixels.

As an artist, making yourself “findable” in the vastness of the internet can be an overwhelming task. We will talk about the technical aspects of popular platforms like Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook and whether your goal is to sell your work, have an online portfolio, or be a part of a community. Learn how to get started, pros and cons, the costs and expertise needed, and most importantly, which ones will help you meet your goals. The seminar will focus on helping you choose which platform is the best match and which ones you can confidently say “this isn’t for me”.
